As lucky as the Mavs and the city of Dallas were to have Dirk Nowitzki, the same can be said for Houston and J.J. Watt.
Though the All-Pro now plays for the Arizona Cardinals, he's still doing amazing things for the residents of the town that drafted him.
A Houston Texans fans named Jennifer Simpson recently tweeted she was selling her J.J. Watt women's Reebok shoes and a Watt Texans jersey in order to raise money for her grandfather's funeral.
The tweet was brought to Watt's attention, who immediately responded back telling Simpson not to sell her gear, and that he would cover the cost of the funeral.
I have a pair of @JJWatt womens edition of Reebok shoes size 9 $60. I've worn them twice. They are great shoes, im only selling because we are raising money for my grandpas funeral. I also have a Watt womens XL Texans Jersey $30. Anyone interested? pic.twitter.com/USt90n221H

Watt is known as one of the most philanthropist players currently in the NFL.
Five years ago, he raised over $37 million for Houston residents affected by Hurricane Harvey, according to KOLD.
His fundraising efforts earned Watts the 2017 Walter Payton Man of the Year award, which goes to a player dedicated to philanthropy work and giving back to the community.
