A remake of the 1989 classic Road House could find its way back to the silver screens with Jake Gyllenhaal starring in the lead role according to rumors heard by Deadline.
Talks are "heating up" to have Gyllenhaal star in the picture, though it may not be as John Dalton, who was originally portrayed by Patrick Swayze. Director Doug Liman slated to man the helm.
It is unknown at this point if the movie will be a reboot of the franchise or a straight-up remake.
The original film saw Patrick Swayze as John Dalton, a bouncer hired to clean up one of the rowdiest bars in Missouri, The Double Deuce.
