Dirty Dancing is no doubt one of your wife's favorite movies. It's one that you always keep recorded on the DVR in case you want to watch it at any moment, which will most likely involve shedding a tear or two.
Well your spouse wouldn't be alone there, as Jennifer Grey says that to this day, she still tears up while watching the movie she starred in.
Grey told PEOPLE in this week's issue, "It gets me every time. It feels like I'm living it when I'm watching it. And then I'm realizing that Patrick [Swayze] is gone."
Swayze was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2007 and passed away in 2009 at the age of 57, just 20 months after his diagnosis.
In 2017, Grey admitted that the "Dirty Dancing lift" performed at the end of the movie "terrified" her.
She told Closer Weekly, however, that Swayze did a great job of keeping her calm and making her feel safe.
She said their relationship "was like a marriage where you have two opposites," explaining that he wasn't afraid of anything and that she was afraid of everything, but "he was really strong and very protective of [her]."
