Last August during the NFL's Hall of Fame game leading up to former Cowboys coach Jimmy Johnson's induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Jerry Jones was asked about Johnson's potential inclusion into the Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor.
Jones said at the time that Johnson will definitively "be in" the Ring of Honor.
Well ten months later, the tides have apparently turned.
After it was announced AT&T Stadium would serve as a host site for the 2026 World Cup, Jones was once again asked about Johnson's inclusion into the Cowboys Ring of Honor.
This time, Jones said, "Nothing determined out there at all. That's something that I've never really decided upon almost until a week or two before I do it."
Per USA Today, the last inductee into the Cowboys Ring of Honor was longtime executive Gil Brandt, who was honored on Nov. 29, 2018, about four weeks after an announcement had been made.
