John Krasinski was epic on 'Saturday Night Live'

Over the weekend, Saturday Night Live returned after a long winter's nap, and they DID. NOT. DIS. A. PPOINT. Hosted by John Krasinski with musical guest Machine Gun Kelly, it was by far the best episode of 2021. It's also the only episode in 2021, but let's not worry about minor details.

The show's cold open featured Kate McKinnon as herself hosting a fictional talk show called "What Still Works". Her variety of guests highlight some of the confusing things that have happened throughout the first month of the year. She even breaks the fourth wall in what seemed to be a gives-no-effs moment.

The monologue was also laugh out loud funny as Krasinski tried to push through "random" questions from the audience, which were all basically comments about The Office. Pete Davidson finally comes to the rescue, and the two kiss on stage.

We were also treated to a sketch called 'Pandemic Game Night' which spiraled into an unexpected break-up of six friends.

My favorite skit of the night was Cecily Strong as a CNBC anchoring interviewing a stock market expert named Craig Steer (played by Krasinski). As Steer is working from home, his creepy twins become the stars of the show in a hilarious way.

The entire episode was filled with fun and frivolity down to the final seconds. As the credits rolled, you could see best friends Pete David and Machine Gun Kelly horsing around as the cast hugs good night. The two accidentally tumble off the stage, and it was all caught on camera!
