Duran Duran fans rejoiced last week when the band announced an upcoming tour --with a stop in DFW on June 11th. Founding member and bassist John Taylor chatted with us about the show saying, "We get really excited about letting the Dallas fans see where we're at, what the state of the Duran Duran Nation is right now."

The lineup includes Bastille and Nile Rodgers & CHIC. Taylor gave props to the latter, saying that they put on a "phenomenal" show. His excitement to kick off another tour is contagious, "Nobody [in the band] dials it in. We're just not made that way."

While creating their latest album Future Past, Taylor said Duran Duran compiled a big list of ideas to celebrate their 40th anniversary with the fans. He joked, "We all look, still, like we're in our thirties. It's going to confuse people." He mentioned a fondness for one of the tracks called "Anniversary."

When Duran Duran travels, they don't go via tour bus. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer said the group realized early on that they weren't cut out for tour bus life calling himself a "pampered poodle."

Listen to the full interview below. Tickets for DURAN DURAN: FUTURE PAST go on sale Thursday, February 16th at 10am CT.
