Parents in Livonia, Michigan are livid with what one kindergarten student brought for his class' snack time.
Apparently, this student at Grand River Academy Livonia brought a bottle of ready-to-drink Jose Cuervo margaritas, and started handing them out to other students.
Alexis Smith is the parent of one of the students who had some of the margaritas, about "4 or 5 sips" out of a Dixie cup full of the drink. Another mother, Dominique Zanders, told FOX 2 in Detroit that her daughter also had some of the liquor, and that she felt "woozy, a little dizzy."
Understandably, parents are angry, though not with the student who brought the booze.
They're angry at school officials and are wondering how something like this could have happened, and how this can be prevented in the future.
The school released a statement that says, in part:
"While we try to keep an eye on everything our students bring to school, that's simply not possible. It's unfortunate that these types of adult beverages can be easily mistaken for child-friendly drinks."
