At first, Michael Andrew Murphy thought the bag of feces left near his mom's grave was just an honest mistake from an apparent dog walker.
Then, it happened again. And again, and again.
Frustrated that his mother's final resting place was being desecrated, Murphy received permission from a cemetery manager to place trail cams near the grave to catch whoever was doing this.
Well they found the culprit: It was a man, who was briefly married to Murphy's mom Linda Torello in the '70s, and has apparently held a deep grudge for almost 50 years.
Every single day, sometime between 6:14 and 6:18 am, Torello's ex would go to her gravesite, urinate on it, and leave a new bag of poo.
Murphy told the New York Post, "I don't know if the man owns a dog, or is sh**ing in a bag himself, or is getting some dog sh*t. All I know is that he's using my mother's grave as his toilet every morning."
The man apparently left Murphy's mom while she was pregnant with his child, and had nothing to do with raising his daughter.
The police have been routinely alerted to his actions, but no charges have been filed yet.
"He could have been peeing out there for five years and we wouldn't have known it," Murphy said. "We only found out because of the feces."
