Demetrius Lewis of Fort Lauderdale, Florida was in the middle of a virtual court appearance when someone caught his attention: Judge Tabitha Blackmon.
During the bond court appearance, Lewis told Judge Blackmon, "Judge, you [are] so gorgeous, so gorgeous judge, I just had to tell you. You're gorgeous," according to 7 News Miami.
Unfortunately for Lewis, Judge Blackmon was not swayed by his flattery. She told the Florida man, "Flattery will get you everywhere . . . but maybe not here."
Lewis didn't get a date, and he didn't get a pass for his crimes, either. Blackmon ruled there was probable cause to charge him, and gave him a $5,000 bond.
