We always assume it's the kids who are addicted to technology these days, but adults can be just as bad.
A man in India recently flew over 1,800 miles, all the way to Dubai, so he could buy the new iPhone 14 just a few hours earlier than he would have been able to had he just stayed at home.
According to the BBC, Dheeraj Palliyil spent 40,000 rupees (about $500) on his plane tickets, and an additional 129,000 rupees (about $1,600) to secure the new iPhone 14 Pro, and this isn't the first time he's done something like this.
He's flown to Dubai to purchase the lates iPhone in 2017, 2019, and 2021.
Each of those times though, the new model wasn't hitting India until 10 to 15 DAYS later, not just a couple hours like with the iPhone 14!
Still, Palliyil says it was worth it.
He says he loves the "thrill" of lining up outside the Apple store, and being one of the first people to get their hands on it.
