Our Dr. Miles Intervention this morning involves a couple who is seeing a third wheel threaten their relationship: her house plants.
The pair has been dating for a few months now, and she is plant-obsessed! She has over 100 in total, many of which she's given names, including a ZZ plant named "Beard," a snake plant named "Slither."
But the one that drives him the craziest is the fern that she named after her late husband "Charlie."
She talks to her plants regularly, claiming they make her "feel," though her boyfriend counters that plants do not have feelings, and this is driving a wedge between them.
Should this guy get over the fact that his girlfriend named a plant after her late husband? They've only been dating a couple months, mind you. Or does he have a point that plants are no different than furniture and do NOT have feelings?
