Yesterday afternoon, a man led police on a chase through North Texas in an ambulance stolen from an area fire station.
Officials were able to track the stolen ambulance using on-board tracking, before the driver led them on a chase through Mesquite, Garland and Dallas, before getting on US 75 in Richardson where the chase ended following a crash in Plano.
Police have not released the identity of the ambulance thief, nor his motivation for stealing the ambulance.
According to WFAA, an internal investigation is underway to determine what disciplinary measures should be taken.
