Our Dr. Miles Intervention this morning involves a couple who has been dating about a year, and talks of marriage are in the air.
Unfortunately, the fella has one major caveat that's holding up the bells from ringing.
She has two kids from a previous relationship, a 13 and a 17-year-old, and he refuses to marry her until they are out of the house!
She doesn't know if she can wait that long (five more years?!), as she says herself "I ain't getting any younger!"
He maintains that he likes his independence however, and does not want to become an instant father to two teenagers.
That was kind of the deal, right? He knew what he signed up for when he entered the relationship, but can an argument be made for not wanting to become an instantaneous father to two teenagers, especially when you've already lived that life?
