A woman is wondering if the tactics she used to get her husband to eat her food were underhanded and wrong.
First off, this guy apparently wants to eat nothing but his mother's cooking. This woman thought those habits would change after they got married. Five months later, it hasn't.
This guy loves his mother's cooking so much, he refuses to even try anything his wife cooks, even though she claims she is a better cook.
So, this dude's mother actually sends him home cooked meals every single DAY, and on the weekends they go over to her house in the mornings so he can have three square meals of home cooking at his mom's.
So obviously fed up with this situation, this woman one day decided to serve her husband her own food, but tell him it was from his mother.
The woman wrote in the Reddit post, "He asked if his mom sent a meal for dinner and I said yes and served him my own version of the meal - not hers. He didn't notice anything different. He ate the whole thing with no hesitation while I sat across from him asking him questions about how good the meal was.
"He went on and on praising it saying how perfect, exceptional it was, and how it was just what he needed after a long day at work."
When this woman revealed the truth, apparently her husband flipped out, accused her of lying and tricking him, and then left.
Now the woman feels guilty for having "tricked" her husband into eating something he didn't know where it came from, though people on Reddit defended her actions in full force.
One person wrote, "Why would you marry someone who refuses to eat your food and makes his mother make him dinner everyday?" Another added, "Are you married to a literal toddler?"
And another offered a suggestion, "File for divorce and ship him back to his mommy."
