A 27-year-old took to Reddit with a complaint about his fiancée.

With their wedding just on the horizon, he is set on having a Star Wars-themed wedding. He wants to hire Stormtroopers to dance during the reception, his groomsmen in Jedi robes, and wants to use music from the film for his first dance.

His fiancée, however, is not a fan of the films at all, and envisioned her wedding to be more "formal and glamorous." He maintains however that since he is paying for half the wedding, he should some part of the ceremony his way. He even relented to having the wedding in her vision, and the reception in his. His Star Wars vision.

He took to Reddit seeking advice if he was in the wrong for not relenting wanting a Star Wars wedding, and most commenters were on the side of his future wife's. One person wrote it is "clear you are trying to dominate the theme despite her seemingly solid opposition. You get a say, you don't get a unilateral choice."

And to his desire to split the evenings, and having control over planning the reception, this person wrote that receptions "should reflect the overall theme and tone of the wedding. Having a very white tie wedding and a cosplay level reception is discordant. It also sounds like something she is very much against."
