Jose Flores Velasquez thought he won it big when he won $600 in the Virginia lottery.
Turn out he made a mistake, though. He didn't win $600…he won $1 MILLION!
Per the New York Post, Velasquez bought a ticket to the Virginia Lottery's the 20X the Money scratcher game last month and it hit!
He presented the ticket to the Virginia Lottery thinking he would be walking away with $600, when they informed him that he was actually one of the game's top winners!
Velasquez chose to take the one-time cash option, which totaled $759,878 before taxes.
The Safeway supermarket where Velasquez bought his ticket also received a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket, according a release from the Virginia Lottery.
