Matthew McConaughey entertains the idea of becoming Texas' governor

He's already the unofficial state mascot, why not make him the real deal?

When you think of Matthew McConaughey, what's the first thing that comes to mind? Most people would say "Texas". He's one of our state's finest treasures. He was asked during an interview if he would ever consider a gubernatorial run. The Oscar winner said:

"I don’t know. I mean, that wouldn’t be up to me. It would be up to the people more than it would me. Look, politics seems to be a broken business to me right now. And when politics redefines its purpose, I could be a hell of a lot more interested."

We'll see what he says during the next election in 2022.
