Matthew Perry has really been honest as of late with his substance abuse issues, both during and after filming Friends, but we're not sure any of us knew just how bad it got.
In a new interview with People, Perry revealed that just a few years ago, he nearly died after his colon BURST from his drug use.
Perry suffered a "gastrointestinal perforation," that actually left him in a coma for two weeks, necessitated a five-month hospital stay, and forced him to use a colostomy bag for nine months to treat the health crisis.
Perry told the publication, "The doctors told my family that I had a 2 percent chance to live.
"I was put on a thing called an ECMO machine, which does all the breathing for your heart and your lungs. And that's called a Hail Mary. No one survives that."
Perry will reveal all about his past drug use in his new memoir, Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing, which is due out November 1.
