Mavs to host free open practice for fans this Sunday

They are requiring negative COVID tests or proof of vaccination before entry.

Dallas Mavericks are holding their first open practice of the 2021 season this weekend, and it's free to the public. Parking in the Lexus Garage is also complimentary. Fan Jam is Sunday, October 3rd at 1pm at American Airlines Center. Doors open at 11:30am, and the team is requiring masks for all attendees.

From the press release:
For the safety of all Mavs Fans, staff, players and personnel, the Dallas Mavericks will require all attendees of FAN JAM to have a negative COVID-19 test within 48-hours prior to attending event OR be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Masks will be enforced in the arena to reduce the spread to children under 12 and immunocompromised individuals. If you are feeling sick in any way, even if symptoms are mild, please think of your fellow MFFLs by staying safe and at home.

The team is asking people to upload documentation in advance. They are accepting either proof of vaccination or results of a negative COVID test taken within the window of October 1, 2021 at 12:01am through October 3, 2021 at 11:00am.

The Mavs are also offering fans on-site vaccinations at the southeast Jack Daniels Patio from 11:00am-2:00pm. They're streaming the event at Mavs.com if you'd rather watch from home. It will be the first time to see player-turned-coach Jason Kidd in action.

Dallas Cowboys play on the same day at noon so local sports fans have to make a decision.
