Americans have only heard the lore of the Chicken Big Mac. McDonald's fans in the UK have been able to enjoy it.
It's simply a Big Mac, but instead of beef, you replace the patties with chicken. Sounds amazing.
McDonald's says per the New York Post that the Chicken Big Mac was a "great success" when it was rolled out in the UK, and sold out in just ten days.
McDonald's CEO Chris Kempczinski said in a Q2 earnings call that the company will be taking a good hard look at chicken now.
He said, "Chicken continues to be a significant opportunity for us… We've got some great global equities already in our McNuggets and with McChicken, but we also have some equities in McCrispy and McSpicy that we think we've got an opportunity to do more with globally. So that's going to be a priority area."
That means the Chicken Mac is making its way stateside, although it does come with some bad news: It will only be available in select Miami locations.
The Chicken Big Mac will be available later this month for a limited time, and if it proves to be a great success, will hopefully lead to a nationwide release.
