Punch Bowl Social in Deep Ellum recently revealed their new mechanical bull, aptly named “Sir Loin,” and join another Deep Ellum establishment Rodeo Dallas as two places with a mechanical bull.  They join the likes of Gilley’s Dallas, and more recently Double Wide who also have mechanical bulls.

Sir Loin is nestled in the middle of a 16-foot inflatable stage, and each rider is equipped with a black Stetson hat to keep the motif.

Punch Bowl Social general manager Ben Petko told the Dallas Observer, "It rotates and goes up and down.  It's all electrically driven. It goes up and down at the same time it is rotating, and when it starts to do both at the same time, that's when it gets a little more challenging."

Petko continued, “It's very much a spectator sport.  A lot of people who come, sometimes they want to do the bull or sometimes a group will come, but only one or two are going to ride it but everyone else in the group really enjoys the experience of watching them doing it."
