When Elvira's new book came out earlier this week, one of the major revelations was that she had a girlfriend for nearly 20 years. Many people likened it to Cassandra Peterson "coming out" but the Mistress of the Dark doesn't see it that way.

In an exclusive interview with Too Fab, Peterson said she didn't suddenly realize, 'Hey, I'm gay. Oh, damn, why'd I wait so long? I just met a person who was a really special person and who I fell in love with. We were great friends and we fell in love. I don't know how it happened, it just did."
Elvira asked her girlfriend for permission before including their private lives in the book. Teresa aka: "T" didn't want to be in the spotlight, but the couple ultimately agreed it would make their relationship easier if they just went public. They can now live freely.
