Fort Worth Zoo has a new addition to their African Penguin family. A female chick was born on January 4th, and the zoo introduced her to the world on Wednesday.
The six-week-old bird has been named Shirley, and she weighs a healthy 6.7 pounds. According to zookeepers, Shirley is in her "chubby baby phase" and she's already heavier than some of her fellow flock.
