A few weeks ago, the internet went crazy over a video of a man riding a lawnmower while chasing an emu with a pool noodle. WFAA did some digging and tracked the guy down in Midlothian.

Toby and Michelle Wilson live on two acres of land, and they have a lot of animals: dogs, cats, hermit crabs, birds, and an emu named Cosmo. Toby said they've raised Cosmo and other emus inside the house and even "swam in the pool with them and just treated them like little dogs, kinda."

It turns out, one of their other emus (Rocky) was actually female so when Toby went near her eggs, Cosmo went into protective dad mode. Toby realized he could ward Cosmo off with a pool noodle so it made for a pretty funny activity. Michelle posted a video on social media, and it took off. The Wilsons now have a baby emu named Pebbles.
