Xep Campbell wanted to make a point after her daughter Kestrel left a dirty sock on the bathroom floor.
She left the sock to see if the 20-year-old would pick it up, and when it went unattended for a week, Xep decided to have a little fun. She created a fake label one might find in an art gallery, and put it on display right behind the disregarded sock.
Well Kester didn't really get the message, and instead of picking up the sock, just added to the display. She first built a tiny display for the sock, and soon added tiny farm animals as if they were visiting the sock gallery.
And of course, a mini-Monolith was added.
Xep described the special relationship she and Kester share saying, "My daughter and I have a wonderful, communicative relationship. We are very silly together and understand the importance of being ridiculous and absurd. I honestly did not expect this post to go viral — it was just another silly thing we did."
