Blockbuster closed nearly all of its stores in 2014 after Netflix took over the video rental market.  Turns out, people really favored having movies delivered to right to their front door over going to a store to pick out something to watch.

Still, something about that business model is attractive to the streaming giant, as Netflix announced they will be opening brick-and-mortar stores in 2025.

According to Variety, Netflix is comparing these stores to a kind of "mini theme park," and will sell food, drinks, merchandise and offer "immersive" installations based on its movies and TV shows like Stranger Things and Squid Game.

Called "Netflix House," the first two stores will open in as-of-yet unannounced cities in 2025, with Netflix planning to expand to more "major cities" around the world.
