With Valentine's Day just a few days away, you might want to get a move on in buying flowers for your significant other. We have some words of advice for all the fellas out there: Do NOT buy flowers for your work wife.

A man on Reddit found out the hard way just why you don't, when the flowers he purchased for his work wife, or his best friend in the office who happens to be a woman, were sent to his home, and his girlfriend thought they were for her!

He wrote in the post, "The thing is I forgot to change the delivery date to a week later on a day my girlfriend wasn't home and they got delivered today. (Picking a day my girlfriend wasn't home IS NOT an admission of guilt. I Just knew she would overreact cause she's emotional and almost unbearably insecure at times)."

Even though he insisted the flowers meant nothing and he and his work wife were just friends, and that he had "super romantic" plans for Valentine's Day, his girlfriend still broke down, and insisted the flowers were "emotional cheating."

The consensus against this fella was that he was very much in the wrong for buying flowers for his work wife. One person commented, "This is what I feel like I just read...'I regularly flirt with an extremely hot woman at work. My gf doesn't feel great about this. Isn't she just so annoying and insecure? Tell me I'm a victim here and should not be expected to be considerate of the feelings of someone I've chosen to date'"
