Nicolas Cage has always presented himself as a pretty odd dude, so this latest revelation makes complete sense.

In a new interview with Rampstyle magazine, Cage revealed that growing up, he thought he was "an alien from another planet" as a kid.

In fact, he told the magazine he was "shocked" to discover that he had "normal organs and a normal skeleton."

And why did he believe this you ask?  Because of his father.

My father told me he felt like he had to introduce himself to me because I was such an alien," Cage said.  "I was shocked the day I went to the doctor's office as a child and I found out that I had normal organs and a normal skeleton, because I was certain I was from another planet."

Per NME, Cage found it difficult as a youngster to relate to other kids, which is how he turned towards acting.

"When I saw David Bowie in The Man Who Fell to Earth, I realized I needed to do something, so I became an actor," he said.
