Officials in Costa Rica recently apprehended a cat trying to smuggle drugs into a prison!
According to PEOPLE, guards at the Pococi Penitentiary captured the cat climbing over its fence with about 236 grams of marijuana and about 68 grams of heroin strapped to its back.
The Costa Rican Ministry of Justice said in a statement, "An officer stationed at one of the forts spotted the animal in the green zone and immediately raised the alarm.
"Thanks to the swift actions of the responding officers, the cat was caught and the packages removed, preventing them from reaching their final destination."
The drugs were taken off the cat, who was transferred to an animal clinic for a checkup. The cat will not be facing any charges.
Jail officials are currently investigating security footage to see the party responsible for using the drug mule, er cat.
