Apparently, wearing white on your wedding day is a thing of the past.

A new survey from OnePoll on behalf of Minted, courtesy of Study Finds has found that 20% of people believe that traditional weddings, and the norms that are associated with them, are outdated and need to be done away with.

One in five of the people surveyed believe the practice of the bride wearing a white dress is officially a dated tradition, and nearly the same number of people (19%) think that mother-son and father-daughter dances are an outdated tradition.

A quarter of people think that the bride not being seen before the ceremony is old-fashioned, and 23% believe that the modern tradition of having more than one Maid of Honor or Best Man is here to stay.

20% also believe that non-gendered wedding parties are the future.

A Minted Weddings spokesperson said in a statement, "More and more we are seeing that couples are prioritizing a celebration that is truly authentic to them and rooted in what they find important. Inclusivity and acceptance have taken center stage. While many couples still honor traditions of the past, they are also incorporating new customs with personal meaning."
