Your whole life changes when you have children. You have to start caring for this whole other being, which as any parent knows doesn't leave a lot of time for yourself.
A new poll conducted by Talker Research on behalf of Kiddie Academy found that parents with kids aged six and under on average get only about 31 minutes of "me time" per day.
According to SWNS Digital, the average day for a working parent with young kids breaks down as follows: 9 hours at work, or commuting; 4 hours getting their kid ready, or helping them in other ways; 2hours shuttling them around; 2 hours spent on chores and cooking; and 1 hour on miscellaneous tasks. That leaves around 6 hours left over for sleeping.
Even though it says parents get 31 minutes of "me time," around one in seven parents said it feels more like ZERO "me time."
