As devastation reigns across Ukraine, the world is asking what are the best way to help its citizens through these troubled times.

For a lot of the country's children, a simple phone call could mean the world.

Thus the creation of the Virtual Pen Pal Project, which wants to connect children in Ukraine with the rest of the world via a video call to help them "bring a sense of normalcy" to their world.

Nikolai Suvorov, CEO at Spectar, writes on LinkedIn:

When the COVID-19 pandemic first started video calls established connection and normalcy to all those affected.

Now families in Ukraine can use your support to help bring that sense of normalcy to their children and plan for situations those same children need not be distracted with or exposed to. Sometime, kids can't hear what the parents have to discuss in these difficult times.

If you have children that could jump on a zoom for a set time period of time (15-20 minutes) please message me and I will connect you with a family that can use this. Because kids are involved we will vet every family and give some guidance on topics not to discuss.

Volunteer families are desperately needed! Spare some time if you can!
