It's always a wonder how Philadelphia came to be known as "The City of Brotherly Love."

After witnessing Eagles fans throw batteries at Michael Irvin and snowballs at Santa Claus, at least its sports fans appear to exemplify any quality other than love, but that is what it's known as, though it might be time for a change.

A survey conducted by Preply.com set out to find the rudest city in America, as voted on by its own residents.  In what comes as quite the shock and NOT quite the shock, Philadelphia was voted as the rudest city in America, by its OWN residents!

Unfortunately, the city of Philadelphia has a problem that they voted themselves the rudest spot in the country.

The Philadelphia Inquirer states that Philly isn't rude, it's just honest and "straight-forward," and is only rude if you're a "whiny baby."  Their exact words, by the way.

The top ten rudest cities in the country, according to the survey, are:
1 - Philadelphia
2 - Memphis
3 - New York City
4 - Las Vegas
5 - Boston
6 - Detroit
7 - San Francisco
8 - Washington, D.C.
9 - Los Angeles
10 - Houston

And on the flipside, the top ten nicest cities according to the survey are:
1 - Austin
2 - San Diego
3 - Fort Worth
4 – Nashville
5 – Indianapolis
6 – Chicago
7 - Columbus, Ohio
8 - Oklahoma City
9 – Milwaukee
10 – Denver
