We all remember that one toy from our childhood that we carried around with us everywhere. For 9-year-old Valentina Dominguez from Plano, that's an American Girl doll named Beatrice.
So you can imagine how devastated Valentina was when she realized she accidentally left Beatrice on an airplane, in TOKYO while she was vacationing with her family!
Once the Dominguez family knew Beatrice was missing, they started making frantic phone calls to anyone they could, desperate for any sort of help ion reuniting Valentina with her doll.
Thankfully, their prayers were answered by First Officer James Danen of American Airlines.
Turns out, Danen doesn't live too far from the Dominguezes in Plano, and saw a Facebook post they made pleading for help. Danen made contact with Turkish Airlines at the Haneda Airport in Tokyo, and after multiple attempts finally secured Beatrice!
Since he lived so close, Danen drive Beatrice to Valentina himself!
Danen told WFAA of his good deed, "It's my nature. I like helping people... that's just what I like doing. I was really glad I could do something nice for somebody."
Valentina's father Rudy said of Danen, "There's a lot of kindness in this world. He's a kind man. He said he would do it and followed through."
