When David Eldredge of Brentwood, NH heard a knock on his door, he thought it was his DoorDash delivery.
And he was half right: it was the food he ordered, but it wasn't delivered by DoorDash.
Instead, Eldredge opened his door to one of Brentwood's finest, a police officer holding his bag of McDonald's. Apparently, while Eldredge's DoorDash driver was on her to his home, she got a little pedal happy and was pulled over for speeding.
The police ran her information and everything was suspended, the license and registration for the car. So her car was towed, the driver got a lift back home, and not wanting to leave the McDonald's stranded, officer Robert McConn decided to just deliver it himself.
McConn told WMUR, "Sometimes, administrative issues can jam you up and it's not really your fault, so we did what we could to try and help her on scene and obviously help her with DoorDash."
Eldredge said he was thankful to the officers for making sure he got his order.
