The Midsummer Classic is heading back to Arlington!
It was announced yesterday that the Texas Rangers will be hosting the MLB All Star Game at Globe Life Field in 2024!
The 2023 All Star Game was previously awarded to Seattle.
This will be the first time the Rangers have hosted the All Star Game since 1995, when it was played at the Ballpark in Arlington.
Ray Davis, co-owner of the Texas Rangers said in a statement per Dallas News, "The Texas Rangers are honored to be awarded the 2024 All-Star Game. With the opening of Globe Life Field in 2020 and the incredible development that continues to take place around the park, Arlington is an ideal location to host Major League Baseball and the Midsummer Classic.
"We want to thank Commissioner Rob Manfred, the State of Texas and the Governor's Office and the cities of Arlington and Fort Worth and all of the dedicated officials from the Arlington Convention and Visitors Bureau for their efforts bringing this showcase event to the area."
