Despite all the fame and fortune she's earned over her legendary career, Reba McEntire is still a small town girl at heart.

While talking with TODAY's Willie Geist, McEntire revealed that she still appreciates the small things in life, like red, plastic Solo cups.

McEntire explained that her love for Solo cups came from her mother, as every Thanksgiving growing up, the entire family would write their name on a Solo cup, and that would be their cup even for next Thanksgiving, as her mother would wash and reuse them.

And apparently, that's a trait McEntire herself carries to this day.

Geist asked, "Oh, really? It stays, OK, you keep it, wash it out, put it up on the shelf," to which McEntire replied, "I still wash Solo cups."

McEntire's appreciation for the small things in life is a topic she explores greatly in her forthcoming book, Not That Fancy, which is set to be released October 10, 2023.
