NBC2's Kyla Galer was reporting live from a parking lot in Fort Meyers, Florida when she needed to do something quick to protect her microphone.
Well not just her mic, her! Mixing water and electric objects is not really a safe idea.
So, Galer wrapped her microphone in a condom, and kept on reporting!
Obviously, a lot of people were surprised to see Galer use a condom, but she explained it's a perfectly condom er common practice.
She said in a video, "It is what you think it is. It's a condom. It helps protect the gear. You can't get these mics wet. There's a lot of wind and a lot of rain, so we gotta do what we gotta do and that is put a condom on the microphone."
Galer later posted a picture of her mic on Facebook writing, "It is the best way to protect it from the wind and the rain."
Of course, plenty of folks online with Galer's protective measures.

Even her colleague, ABC7's Jeff Butera, got in on the fun:
