Richie Sambora has not appeared with Bon Jovi on stage, save for a brief reunion at the band’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction in 2018, since 2013 when he departed the group.

However, that all could change as according to Sambora, he’s been engaged in discussions with Jon Bon Jovi about a full-fledged reunion!

Not only are they planning to play together once again, Sambora says there’s talk of recording a new album!

Per Guitar World, Sambora said of a reunion, “We're talking about it. I don't think there's any reason not to at this point.”  Sambora acknowledged Bon Jovi’s recent struggle with his voice, but added he was interested in reuniting ”for the fans.”

He said, “I don’t know when Jon’s going to get his voice together and [when the Bon Jovi reunion is] going to happen, but we have to get out there and do it for the fans, really. I feel a second obligation.”

This isn’t the first time Sambora has talked about a potential reunion with Bon Jovi, either.

Last November, he hinted a long-awaited link-up between the two artists could take place at this year’s Glastonbury Festival, saying “It’s a possibility. We’re talking a bit.”
