When the Rolling Stones hit the road for their upcoming tour, they’ll be accompanied by none other than Tina Turner.  Well, a Tina Turner impersonator.

Not just any Tina Turner impersonator, but Chanel Haynes, who recently portrayed Turner in the London stage production of Tina: The Tina Turner Musical.

The Stones asked Haynes, who appeared on their Hackney Diamonds album, to replace backing singer Sasha Allen, who had dropped off the band’s 60th-anniversary tour.

According to American Songwriter, Haynes was hired by the Stones because they were looking for a powerhouse vocalist to sing “Gimme Shelter” live with Mick Jagger.
