One of the lasting effects from Covid has been most restaurants these days do not have physical menus.

You’re required to scan a QR code that’s haphazardly taped on the table in order to find something to eat.

One high school in Huntington Beach, California appears to have adopted that technology, and is now requiring students to scan a QR code in order to access the bathroom.

A student at Edison High School told FOX 11 in Los Angeles, “When you ask to use the restroom, you have to go and take your phone up, scan the QR code, and then they make you put the phone back down and then you have to go use the restroom.

"You can't even look at your own timer to see if you're running out of time or not.”

Students are not happy with this implementation and feel like it’s an invasion of their privacy.   A petition on change.org has been circulating saying the policy goes against the government's duty to protect the health and safety of students.
