Alice Little is a sex worker at the Moonlite Bunny Ranch in Las Vegas. With the ongoing pandemic, you can imagine the work at the Moonlite Bunny Ranch is rather low, and Little is not happy.
Little has filed a lawsuit against the state of Nevada for what she sees as an "arbitrary" decision that has left legal sex workers "financially devastated." She filed a complaint against Nevada governor Steve Sisolak citing unstated damages and seeks the right for her and other licensed prostitutes to "ply their legal trade" at home or other private locations. The suit alleges that Sisolak has, "without any rational basis, decided to single out brothels."
Further, sex workers were not allowed to apply for the federal small business economic relief package.
Little claims that before the pandemic, she would routinely make $1.2 million a year working at the Bunny Ranch. She stressed that "sex work has been with humankind since the beginning of time. We have a place in society, we fulfill a need for society... We've got to accept it and learn how to live with it, and if it isn't for you, that's totally OK. Just live and let live, and let me be allowed to fulfill my role in society."
Little has also created a GoFundMe page to help cover her legal costs. Seeking $50,000, so far Little has raised around $8,000.
