When you think of the most notorious figures of Dallas, Bonnie & Clyde aren't far down that list.
The story is the stuff of legend, and they've become cult figures, especially after the film starring Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway as the criminal couple was released in 1967.
Their lore remains a part of Dallas history to this day, and it's been utilized in a brand new speakeasy in Trinity Groves, located on the second floor of Saint Rocco's.
It's called The Devil's Back Porch, named after the infamous West Dallas escape route gangsters used during the Great Depression, and executive chef and co-owner Jay Valley wanted to give his second-floor space "a little mystery, a little intrigue, a little extra pizzazz."
Valley told CultureMap Dallas, "This Prohibition-era speakeasy is the perfect complement to Saint Rocco's and our New York Italian roots."
The Devil's Back Porch is officially slated to open May 25th.
Saint Rocco's is located at 3011 Gulden Ln, Dallas, TX 75212.
