The most viral video of the week comes courtesy of the Los Angeles Rams Super Bowl parade, when a photographer covering the event trying to snap a picture of Matt Stafford fell off a stage, much to the shock of the Rams QB.
Stafford has received some criticism regarding the incident, as he immediately turned away, seemingly ignoring Kelly Smiley's fall.
Not only did both of her cameras break, Smiley, photo editor for the NFL, NBA and NHL and a freelance photographer, fractured her spine in the fall!
After being a target of criticism for his inaction in helping Smiley, it has just been announced that Stafford, his wife Kelly, and the Los Angeles Rams will be covering all of her medical costs going forward.
The Rams and Staffords said in a joint statement per ESPN, "We have been in communication with Kelly Smiley since yesterday's incident and we are sorry for what happened. As we told Kelly, we will be covering all her hospital bills and replacing her cameras. We wish her a speedy recovery."
A GoFundMe page was created to help Smiley, and had generated more than $45,000 in donations as of Friday morning.
