The Stars are one win away from the Western Conference Finals, and when the puck drops at the American Airlines Center tomorrow evening, we should all hope Austin Lewis is in attendance.
A lifelong Stars fan, Lewis was born with fibular hemimelia, eventually losing both of his legs by the age of 12.
No matter, with the help of prosthetics Lewis learned to walk normally in his 20s, and it was with his prosthetics that he hyped up the crowd during Game 4 of the Stars-Jets series.
How did he hype up the crowd? How else, but by chugging a beer out of one of this prosthetic legs.
Lewis told WFAA, "I called it a leg looge, but some people say a leg lager or an 'amputini."
We don't know if the chug was what inspired the Stars to win Game 4, but it certainly wouldn't hurt if Lewis was back at the AAC for Game 6.
"I drank the beer," he said, "and then we won the game. There could be a strong correlation there. I'm hoping to make it back for a few more games and help them win."
