San Antonio woman Shavone Canales was driving to her friend's house Sunday evening when all of a sudden, her car's windshield shattered.
While passing by an area near Interstate 10 and FM 16 outside Converse, a stranger threw a spear through her windshield in a completely "unprovoked" and "random" attack.
Though she escaped the incident uninjured, Canales told KSAT she was still pretty shaken up the events. "It was a pretty scary event. I was not expecting that," she said the following morning.
Police officers have yet to find the person who threw the spear at her, and so far there is no known motive.
"I think they're trying to intentionally hurt somebody," Canales said, speculating. "I'm just thankful to be alive because I have kids."
