His name is Kupata, and he's a stray dog that has taken to guiding kids safely across the street every morning. Tamta is part of the community that takes care of Kupata. She says, "He's a very serious boy. He never goes to other streets."
By the way, Kupata is Georgian for "sausage."
Though Kupata is lucky to have found a community to take care of him, Tamta says there are a lot of animals that aren't so lucky.
She told Good News Network, "Kupata is the lucky one because we all take care of him, but there are other dogs that aren't lucky—that don't have shelter, they don't have food. This is a problem in our country."
