This weekend, Taylor Swift takes over Argentina’s River Plate Stadium in Buenos Aires for three shows on her ongoing Eras Tour. If you think Swifties are excited to see her, that would be an understatement.
Fans have been camping outside the stadium to make sure they have a front row spot for the show which isn’t that unusual, but the length of time will send a Blank Space to your face.
A 21-year-old who wished to remain anonymous told Pitchfork she’s been camping outside the stadium for the past FIVE MONTHS! Her dad doesn’t even know she’s been living in the tent since June!
“I usually tell my dad I’m at a park drinking mate with somebody, or visiting a friend of mine who lives near the stadium,” she revealed.
The woman has been spending her taking college courses and working a part-time job, all while living with other Swifties since June in a makeshift encampment.
Hundreds of fans have been sleeping in four different tents outside the stadium, in carefully planned rotations to make sure nobody loses their place.
Afan named Carmen said she’s spent 300 hours, or just over 12 days, sleeping outside in line, and isn’t looking forward to her time camping coming to an end.
She said, “I don’t like the idea of there being a little time left. The day will come and then what? What am I going to do with so much time at home, now that I won’t have to be making friendship bracelets all day inside a tent? Return to being a normal person?”
