We're always looking for the quick solutions to lose weight and get healthy. The latest secret that's come out? Apparently, you need to take a lot of breaks.
A new study from the University of Miami found that taking a lot of breaks in your workout can actually help you burn more calories!
According to Phys.org, the researchers liked their findings to driving a car: a car uses more gas getting up to speed, but once it's cruising at 60mph it becomes more fuel efficient. Our bodies work the same way.
We can't speak to how long those breaks between workouts should be, though. If you're break lasts a few days in between workouts, you may not get the result you're desiring.
