Texas named one of the Top 10 least-educated states in the country

Texans have a lot of their pride in their state, probably more so than any other state in the country.

However, y’all might want to take a backseat on this one.

A recent study by WalletHub set to find out the ten most, and least educated states, and things aren’t looking too good for the Lone Star State.

Texas found its way to being one of the least educated states in the country, appearing in the bottom ten at No. 41.

The full bottom ten incudes:
41 – Texas
42 – New Mexico
43 – Kentucky
44 – Nevada
45 – Oklahoma
46 – Alabama
47 – Arkansas
48 – Louisiana
49 – Mississippi
50 – West Virginia

Texas ranked 42nd in the country in “Educational Attainment,” and 17th in “Quality of Education.”

According to the study, the top ten most educated states include:

1 – Massachusetts
2 – Maryland
3 – Connecticut
4 – Vermont
5 – Colorado
6 – New Jersey
7 – Virginia
8 – New Hampshire
9 – Minnesota
10 – Utah
